Halò Single Malt Mates,
I have found an interesting expression that my Vendors staff like.
It is a Speyburn 15.
In 1897 John Hopkins discovered a unique spot in the heart of Speyside, ideal for making exceptionally smooth whisky. Building a distillery in the steep, wooded glen by the Granty Burn was challenging. However, with abundant pure water and the rich natural elements of this lush region of Scotland, it was worth the effort.
Here is the whisky.
15 Year Old 46% 70cl
Age 15 Year Old
Bottle Size 70cl
Alc. Volume 46%
The whisky used in this release from Speyburn has been matured for 15 years in both American oak and Spanish oak, before being brought together to make this fruity and full bodied dram. A whisky fitting for one of Scotland’s most scenic distilleries.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Hints of rich dark chocolate with spicy notes of raisins, zesty citrus fruits and vanilla.
Palate: On the palate there are notes of oranges, toffee, vanilla and leather, all wrapped together with a gentle spice. The long lasting finish has a warming spice which is sweet and creamy.
I loes fruity whisky! This one might fit my bill.
“Whisky, drink divine!
Why should drivelers bore us
With the praise of wine
While we’ve thee before us?”
“Love makes the world go round? Not at all. Whiskey makes it go round twice as fast.”
