A real collectable from Dailuaine

Halò Single Malt Mates,

Gordon and MacPhail has done it again. They specialize in collectables.

I have a Dailuaine 16 and it is hard to find. They have an 18 which was bottled in 1963. Fancy that.

Facts

A 1963 bottling of Dailuaine by Gordon & MacPhail as part of the Connoisseurs Choice range, released at 18 years of age. The distillery’s claim to fame is that it was home to Scotland’s first pagoda roof, a useful way for distilleries to improve the flow of smoke out of the building from the peat fires in the maltings.

Here’s tae the heath, the hill and the heather,
The bonnet, the plaid, the kilt and the feather.

A h-uile la sona dhuibh‘s gun la idir dona dhuibh!
May all your days be happy ones.

Thoughts on whiskey: “Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough.
