Halò, Single Malt Mates,
It seems I am on a rare whisky roll today. Which means I am running into many rare expressions.
This whisky has an interesting parentage as it has one name but distilled at another distillery with an old style still replaced by the current pot stills. This expression was distilled in 1979 and the pot stills were introduced in 1981. This makes it a rare whisky indeed.
Here is the whisky:
1979 Connoisseurs Choice 40% 70cl
Mosstowie distillery was actually based within another distillery – Miltonduff. The whisky produced was made in Lomond stills which are very rarely used ot craft whisky these days.
Producer Gordon and MacPhail
Bottle Size 70cl
Alc. Volume 40%
In the late 70’s demand for this whisky was low. The only way one can find out how good it is now, is to buy it and try it.Or simply add it to your collection..
Here’s to the men of all classes, Who through lasses and glasses Will make themselves
To the rapturous, wild, and ineffable pleasure
Of drinking at somebody else’s expense.
